 BIC Drag and Drift Nights

 

BIC Drag Nights:

BIC now offers you the chance to try out its new innovative experience “BIC Drag Nights”. 

Take your very own car or motorbike out onto the circuit’s National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)- affiliated drag strip, and experience the thrill.  Each evening will feature on-the-track action from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
 
 
All participants will be required to take their car or motorbike through safety check prior to the start of racing. The entry fee to participate in each night is 5 BD only. Drivers will be required to bring their own racing helmets, otherwise there will be plenty available to rent at the circuit.
 
Meanwhile, participants can bring their friends along to Bahrain International Circuit to watch all the action up close. Seated along the strategically located Batelco Grandstand, spectators can overlook the entire drag strip and see everything taking place from start to finish.
 
Fans can enter for just 2 BD. Fans can get in the passenger’s seat of a friend’s car and enjoy the adrenaline rush first hand. This can be done for an additional 2 BD.
 
Note: Passengers will also be required to use a helmet during the drive.
 
Cost to participate is 5 BD. 
Spectators Ticket 2 BD. 
Extra Passenger 2 BD. 
 
BIC Drift Nights:
 
Drifting has taken the world by storm since its creation in Japan back in the early 1990’s.
 
The art of sliding a car through a series of bends calls for supreme skills as the driver balances throttle and steering inputs in search of ever greater angles of slide and smoke.
 
The speed sound and smell of melting tires blend together to create an event that draws huge crowds of spectators and fun for all the family.
 
 
Designed to teach you the basics of oversteer and powersliding in your own rear-wheel-drive car, Introduction to Drifting will have you 'steering from the rear' before you know it. 
 
On the 5th November the BIC will hold the first of our planned monthly Drift nights. This event has been created to allow drivers to practice the art of Drifting in a safe and controlled manner. Drivers from novices to seasoned veterans are invited down to car park 6 of the BIC to show off their drifting skills around our specially constructed course, Instructors will be on hand to offer advice and tips.
 
To take part in Drift nights you will need the following:
 
·      A rear wheel drive car
·      A valid road drivers license
·      Suitable footwear, No sandals.

The action starts with driver registration and car inspection from 5 p.m. and the drifting action starts from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
