 BIC HOSTS PALESTINIAN HEALTH MINISTER

 Special VIP guest enjoys an exclusive tour of world-class facilities

​BIC, Sakhir – Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, welcomed on Tuesday (January 24) Dr. Fathi Abu Maghli, Palestinian Minister of Health, for an exclusive tour of the circuit’s world-class facilities.
 
BIC is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a trip to Formula One’s one and only desert track is now essential for all visitors to the island.
 
Dr. Abu Maghli was welcomed by a team of BIC officials who later accompanied him on his in-depth look into the various locations around the globally renowned motor racing venue.
 
The Minister was first taken to the iconic Sakhir Tower, which is home to the circuit’s administrative team and from where a bird’s eye view of the entire facility can be enjoyed. Dr. Abu Maghli then toured the BIC’s state-of-the-art Media Centre, from where hundreds of local and international media professionals cover BIC’s top international events, before making a brief stop to race Control Tower, which houses the most modern technology used in motorsport.
 
The Minister then enjoyed a lap around the race track.
 
At the end of his visit, the VIP guest expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to BIC management and also lauded the staff for the warm welcome and for his comprehensive tour. Dr. Abu Maghli stressed the importance of BIC’s roles as a chief tourist destination and a key economic driver for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
