Following the conclusion of last year’s season, the championship has received several new changes that will have a significant effect on track. Drivers will be split into either Class A, consisting of those driving vehicles with an output of 18101cc to 2000cc, or Class B, for those with an engine capacity of below 1800cc. tire use will be limited to minimize costs, resulting in drivers having to use the same tires for a minimum of two rounds of the championship (four individual races).
Competitors will also be limited to the use of two engines for the entire season, with the use of more than two resulting in a penalty. The championship serves as an excellent platform for the development of aspiring Bahraini racers and is a great stepping stone to assist those at a grass roots level to participate in larger and more competitive events.
