Jerome d’Ambrosio is the latest in a long line of Belgian drivers looking to make their mark in Formula 1, and it will be interesting to see if he can match the race-winning success of the likes of Jacky Ickx and Thierry Boutsen.
2011 is likely to be a slow start for the 2007 Formula Master champion, as he gets himself up to speed with the still fresh-out-of-the-box Virgin squad.
Three seasons in the GP2 Series – and a race win in Monaco in 2010 – have certainly given Jerome enough experience of racing at the front of the pack to suggest he could do well, but he will need to significantly up his game from the consistent run
