"GP2" Is considered one of the most important single-seater championships in the region and has firmly established itself on the world stage as one of the premier one-make racing championships in the world.

GP2 is highly regarded as the main feeder category for Formula One and saw the transfer of twelve drivers graduating to the top class. Many of F1’s superstar competitors today have reached stardom after excelling in GP2. Among them are Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Sebastien Buemi, Vitaly Petrov, Heikki Kovalainen and Kamui Kobayashi, to name a few.

The grid is packed with 26 identical single seater race cars manufactured by Dallara running a 4.0 liter Renault (V8) that generates 600 Horsepower, The series provides an opportunity for drivers to show their ability in front of Formula One teams as they compete on world-renowned circuits throughout the region.
