Brand New Kart Zone at the Bahrain International Circuit

The Bahrain International Circuit has a completely new Kart Zone which features a host of new changes, including a brand new track layout, longer opening hours and faster karts! The overhaul has allowed racing fans to experience a completely new and exhilarating karting experience.

The new and improved track is not only longer than the previous layout, measuring at 1,054 meters, but also includes more turns and straights, allowing for drivers to develop their racing ability and take their technical understanding to a higher level. The karting experience has been used by a multitude of drivers to establish a good technical understanding of what it takes to get behind the wheel and transfers exceptionally well to larger, faster cars, making it an ideal starting point for aspiring drivers. Competitors of all racing abilities have attributed their success at least in part to a background in karting, with the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher all stating that a racer’s career begins behind the wheel of a kart. 

The overhaul of the Kart Zone includes adult karts upgraded to 9 horse power engines, while the junior karts will be running 4 horse power engines. This guarantees that enthusiasts will be able to accelerate to top speeds much quicker than the previous generation of 6 horse power karts, allowing for old records to be smashed and newer, faster records set. The faster engines combined with the new track layout will mean even experienced drivers will have a completely new experience to look forward to!

The new track layout allows an even larger number of competitors to pull up at the starting line for each karting session, with the previous maximum of 8 being extended to 10! Racers will now be able to get their speed fix as often as they like at the Kart Zone, as the opening times have been extended to an amazing 7 days a week.
 
The Kart Zone offers a completely new racing experience which guarantees adrenaline pumping action for all levels of ability, from those looking to try their hand at racing for the first time to seasoned veterans. The Kart Zone provides all visitors with the necessary safety equipment including racing overalls and helmets, and welcomes all levels of ability. The Karting team at the Bahrain International Circuit are all experienced drivers themselves and have received the latest safety and flagging briefings, guaranteeing a safe and secure environment for all.

The Kart Zone offers a range of packages for racing enthusiasts to enjoy. 10 minutes costs 5 BD for adults and 4 BD for juniors (under 15 years old), while a whole hour of thrills costs 25 BD and 22 BD respectively.
