Jenson Button
It was a case of ‘zero to hero’ for champion Jenson Button in 2009. After being labelled a Formula 1 playboy in his early years at Williams and Renault, Jenson has rarely had the car to showcase his undoubted talents at Honda. But his never-say-die attitude proved invaluable as Honda transformed into Brawn GP for 2009. That smooth, steady hand on the tiller paid dividends as the team eclipsed its rivals in the early races. Six wins and a dream start to 2009, was followed by a mid-season lull that allowed Jenson’s detractors to question his worth once again. But a gutsy drive in Brazil and a move to McLaren to take on Lewis Hamilton have demonstrated that Jenson is never afraid to give it his all. Now we’ll see what he’s really made of.
