Bahrain International Circuit
4x4s and volleyball
08 May 2009

When I am not instructing at the Bahrain International Circuit’s off-road course, I play for Bahrain’s national volleyball team.

I normally train five days a week and I’m lucky to be able to combine that with a job I love. My colleagues are really understanding about letting me take time off for matches. Both on the circuit and as a sportsman, I am very proud to represent Bahrain.

During Grand Prix build-up and the week of the race, though, more of my time goes into organising the many corporate and sponsor events that take place on the off-road course.

Last year I was lucky enough to take the winner of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, Felipe Massa, out onto the off-road course, and then he had a go as well. I think he really enjoyed it and of course it was a great privilege for me.
