BIC Announces First Winners Of Online Competition

Bahrain International Circuit announced today, Sunday 24th January, the first winners of its online competition being held as part of the promotional campaign of the 2010 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
The contest gives participants a weekly chance to win tickets to the Gulf Air Desert 400 weekend featuring the V8 Australia Supercars Championship, which takes place from February 25 to 27. Other prizes can also be won, including vouchers to the various thrilling activities at the award-winning Sakhir track.
The winners of the contest’s first week are Sayed Jawad Adnan and Gemma Whitchurch.
The competition continues this week with a new question posted on the homepage of Bahrain International Circuit’s official website, www.bahraingp.com.
To take part, simply e-mail your complete answer to media@bic.com.bh along with your full name, telephone number, primary e-mail address and other helpful contact details.
The names of all those who correctly answer the question will be included in a draw, and winners will be announced every Sunday on the website and through Bahrain’s national media.
There will be a new question posted weekly up until the V8 Supercars weekend, giving the Kingdom’s motorsport fans continuous chances of attending the Gulf Air Desert 400 spectacle for free.
Those who do not win tickets can still come away with vouchers to enjoy the many experiences available at ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’. These include exciting drives or passenger rides in a Caterham or Lumina V8 race car around the Grand Prix track, or in a Hummer H2 or H3 along the circuit’s world-renowned off-road course.
The Gulf Air Desert 400 weekend is part of the thrilling start to the year for Bahrain International Circuit. It will be followed by the region’s biggest sporting, social and business event, the 2010 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, between March 12 and 14.
Tickets to both the Gulf Air Desert 400 and the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix are now available for purchase on www.bahraingp.com. They can also be bought by calling the Bahrain International Circuit Hotline on +973-17-450000, or at the circuit stands in Seef Mall or Bahrain City Centre.
