Bringing the spirit of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans to the Middle East
Since its inception in 2012, Bahrain has been a part of the annual FIA WEC calendar, hosting its own endurance event that boasts its unique characteristics. Known as the FIA WEC Bapco Six Hours of Bahrain, this race ensures plenty of thrills and spills from an enormous grid of more than 30 challengers.
These cars are some of the most technologically advanced in the world. They include Hybrids and GTs, including some of the classiest and most reliable names in the motoring industry. Toyota, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Nissan, Honda, Chevrolet, it is an eclectic yet world class mix.
Many of the drivers have at one time or another raced in F1, before having a taste of the excitement of the WEC. Mark Webber, Sebastien Buemi, Lucas di Grassi, Alexander Wurz, Kazuki Nakajima, Anthony Davidson, to name a few.
The 2017 FIA WEC Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain will be the season-ending race, just as it was in 2016, making for an awesome spectacle.
