Qatari rider Mishal Alneaimi was the man to beat once again the fifth and penultimate round of the 2015/2016 Bahrain Superbike Championship (BSBK).
The meeting was held as part of National Racing Day at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.
After already winning the first six races of the season, the experienced biker added another double to his tally.
Alneaimi won the first 11-lap sprint from pole in 13 minutes 05.498 seconds, enjoying a gap of 8.503 seconds from closest driver Fahad Al Suwaidi. Ali Al Shammari finished in third 11.546s back.
It was an all-Qatari podium in the event.
In race two, Alneaimi sealed his fine double in a time of 13:05.498. Al Suwaidi (+8.503s) and Al Shammari (+11.546s) finished in the same positions, thus composing the same top three.
“Today, I really enjoyed the racing,” said Alneaimi. “Many riders were going very fast this round; they continue to improve every time, but I have more experience so I was able to get the two wins."
“I have won all the race so far this season but I don’t want to say it is easy. I am constantly training and trying to get better, wherever I may go."
“Hopefully I can finish the season with all the wins. It would be a nice achievement.”
The fifth and penultimate round of this inaugural BSBK season is scheduled for May 6 at BIC.
