Batelco Racing Team powered to an impressive victory in this year’s edition of the 24 Hours Bahrain Karting Endurance Championship held at Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC).
Featuring a five-member, all-Bahraini line-up, Batelco outshone chief rivals Zain Racing by 42.637 seconds to the chequered flag after having completed 1,065 laps.
“It’s another great win for us and for Batelco. It was a tough race and we’re all very pleased to be back in first place. We lost this race last year so we were really determined to be back on top this time. The win is even more special competing with a team of all Bahraini drivers. This was a chance for them to race at home in the Pro category and make the country proud.” Batelco Racing Team manager Osama Al Saad
With this result, Batelco not only took home the day’s biggest trophy, but also the valuable grand prize of free registration to the 24 Hours of Paris at Racing Kart de Cormeilles in France, to be held later this year. Batelco also won back the title they lost last year when Racing Falcons were victorious.
