Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) kicks off the new season of the Bahrain SWS Sprint Championship with round one on Thursday night, June 9, at Sakhir’s world-class facility for grassroots motorsport.
The SWS is an arrive-and-drive series, making it widely popular amongst Bahrain’s motor racing enthusiasts. It is open to karters of all skill levels and experience, as they provided a chance to compete in a fun yet professionally run event.
All interested participants aged 16 years old and above, both men and women of any nationality, are welcome.
Competitors race in identical Sodi RT8 390cc karts, which are provided for by BIKC. Thursday’s action will be held under floodlights.

All are welcome to attend and watch the karters battle one another. Entrance to BIKC is free of charge.
The championship has been organised by BIKC and Bahrain International Circuit, in cooperation with the Bahrain Motor Federation. It is scheduled to have eight rounds this season.

Rounds three through eight will be held under the umbrella of the Bahrain Karting Sprint Championship, which also features the Bahrain Rotax Mojo Max Championship.
