Alex Longden and Shaikh Salman bin Isa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa took a victory apiece in the sixth round of the 2015/2016 BIC 2,000cc Challenge, held over the weekend at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.

The meeting took place as part of BIC’s National Racing Festival.

Race One

Longden claimed the opening sprint in a total race time of 16:04.757 in his BMW 3 Series/F20C.

Shaikh Salman was a close runner-up 0.389s adrift, while Raed Himmo finished in third place 5.100s back. Both Shaikh Salman and Himmo were competing in Honda CIVIC cars.

Race Two

Shaikh Salman bounced back to claim the win in race two. He completed the event in 16:09.637, a narrow 0.953s ahead of Longden. Hussain Karimi in a Honda CRX claimed third place 1.513s back.

At the end of the racing, the winners were presented their respective trophies in a podium ceremony. BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa was present to give away the awards.
