Harrison Newey powered to an impressive victory in the season-opening race of the 2016/2017 MRF Challenge in Bahrain.
Starting from pole, Newey was generally untroubled as he built a comfortable gap in front of his rivals en route to a fine win.
He completed the race in a time of 20 minutes 19.964 seconds.
Ralf Aron of Estonia finished as the runner-up 4.977 seconds behind, while Joey Mawson of Australia rounded out the podium placers 7.824s back in third.
Race two is scheduled for a 4.10pm start on Saturday.
