Chris Rabie made it two wins from two races in round two of the 2016 Bahrain Motorcycle Racing (BMR 600), held as part of National Racing Day at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.
Rabie’s double continued his perfect start to his 2016 campaign in the one-make motorbike seies.
From pole position, Rabie stormed to a deserving victory in race one in 14:21.422, nearly an entire minute ahead of runner-up Harry Johnston who was 58.493s back. David Wynne finished third 1:15.781 adrift.
“The first race went really nice,”
“We have a lot of new guys here so they are still in the early stages of learning this sport.” said Rabie
In race two, Rabie won in 14:27.142. This time he was 1:10.540 clear of second-placer Wynne, while Greg Brown was third having completed just 10 laps.
“The second race was a lonely one for me up front, but overall this weekend was excellent,”
“We really enjoyed the action. We don’t get this opportunity anywhere and we are really happy that BIC allows us to this.”
The season finale of all three championships will be on May 6.
