As part of the lead-up to the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, Bahrain International Circuit has put together a mind-boggling programme of exciting activities for all to enjoy one whole month before the Grand Prix weekend.
Known as “Race Fever”, this period will include a concert by popular Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, a Neon Run at BIC, a “King of Desert” Drifting Championship, and an interactive Game Zone. All those with tickets to the Bahrain Grand Prix will be able to enjoy the Race Fever events.
Bryan Adams – March 13
We all know his songs, now it’s time to enjoy his music live! Legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams will be taking to the stage and serenading the crowd with some of his biggest hits such as “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You”, “Please Forgive Me”, “All For Love” and “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?”
Only those with Bahrain Grand Prix tickets to the Main Grandstand and Turn One Grandstand will be able to enjoy the concert free of charge.
King of Desert – March 16 and 17
For the first time ever in the history of Bahrain motorsport, an international pro drifting event will be taking place in Sakhir. As one of the major attractions of Race Fever, drifters from all over the world will be descending upon “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” to put on a show for fans.
The Bahrain event is part of a five-leg regional calendar in which professional drifting teams from around the world will be contesting. Other stops in the GCC are in Muscat, Abu Dhabi, and Kuwait City.
This championship, known on the global scale as “Drift King of Nations Pro Series”, also holds events in Europe, South America, South Africa, Australia and Asia.
Neon Run – March 24
The Neon Run is set to be a fantastic fun-filled event with both adults and children taking part.
It will be held along BIC’s 5.412-kilometre Grand Prix track, with the seniors completing the entire length of the circuit and the juniors running for just one kilometer.
To add a unique element to the run, neon colours will be thrown onto participants, at regular intervals throughout the race course, making for a bright and vibrant setting for all.
Race Fever Game Zone – March 13, 16, 17 and 24
An interactive Game Zone will be open to the public at the BIC premises during each night of the aforementioned Race Fever events. It will include many exclusive games and activities for people of all ages to enjoy, and it will truly get visitors hyped up and ready for the highly anticipated Bahrain Grand Prix.
Entrance will be free for all those who have already purchased their tickets to the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
