Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is delighted to announce world famous DJ pair Axwell ^ Ingrosso as the latest artists set to perform at the 2016 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

Their First Performance was in 2014 at the 8 June Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City. The performance debuted music from a new album they announced to release under the name Axwell ^ Ingrosso the intro music of which premiered on air during Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 program. Their performance was also named one of the 15 Hot Governors Ball Moments as well as one of the Top 10 Best Performances of the Hot Governors Ball by Billboard.

The world famous pair, formerly part of Swedish House Mafia (the masters of massive global hits such as Don’t You Worry Child, Save The World, Grey Hound, Miami 2 Ibiza and Leave The World Behind), were most recently the closing act at the 2015 Coachella Festival and have enjoyed global success with a string of huge chart hits. They are best known for tracks including number one charting single “Sun is Shining”, top ten iTunes track “Something New”, “This Time” and “On My Way”. They are listed in the top 20 DJ’s in the world according to DJ Magazine and have become one of the most sought after acts for the biggest festivals and clubs across the world.

The duo are set to perform as the headline act on Friday night in front of a packed F1 audience.

All those with tickets to this year’s Bahrain Grand Prix will be able to watch the concert free of charge and tickets are now on sale for the mega event.

The duo’s headline act will continue the tradition of global superstar DJs performing at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

With two world-renowned acts already confirmed at this year’s Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, others are expected to be announced soon by BIC.
