As the summer temperatures continue to rise, so too will the level of competition at Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) this coming Ramadan.During the holy month, BIKC will be hosting the first two rounds of the 2015/2016 season in the highly competitive SWS Bahrain Championship.
The SWS is an arrive-and-drive series that gives karters of all skill levels a chance to compete in a fun yet professionally run challenge. Participants will be driving identical RT9 Sodi karts, which will be provided for by BIKC. The cost to compete is BD60 per driver, per round.
Drivers will be able to earn points at each meeting during the season. At the end of the campaign, the three drivers with the most points will be awarded with a free seat and a chance to compete in the SWS World Finals in France.
Registration is now open for the season’s first two rounds, both of which will be held during Ramadan at BIKC in Sakhir. The championship opener is scheduled to take place on June 22, and it will be followed by the season’s second meeting on June 29.
Following the first two rounds this Ramadan, the 2015/2016 championship will resume in October and continue until March of next year.
