Mishal Alneaimi capped an historic first season in the Bahrain Superbike Championship with an impressive double in the sixth and final round.
The results helped the experienced Qatari rider to come away with a clean sweep of the campaign’s 12 races.
All the action was held along BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Track.
Alneaimi was in a class of his own all season long in the BSBK, in which all participants were competing on identical Ducati 899 Panigale sports bikes.
The Qatari captured pole position with a fastest lap of one minute 07.745, which was nearly two seconds quicker than his closest rival.
Alneaimi was a comfortable winner, crossing the finish line in 12:48.023. He was 16.053 seconds ahead of runner-up Fahad Al Suwaidi, while Ali Al Shammari made it an all-Qatari podium after finishing 22.825 seconds behind.
Completing the top eight were Ali Adiby (+34.772s) of Bahrain, Ibrahim Al Sharidah (+34.787s) of Saudi Arabia, Rayad Alemadi (+36.171s) of Qatar, Ian Charles (+37.620s) of the UK and Nasir Hussein (+1:05.392) of India.
Alneaimi continued from where he left off in race one, cruising to first place overall in 12:52.738.
Al Suwaidi was second 9.979s back and Al Shammari third 14.897s from first. Pearce (+23.691s) and Adiby were in the top five, while Al Sharidah (+29.074s), Alemadi (+29.566s) and Charles (+40.321s).
