Batelco Fitness on Track, Orange Media Open Track Day to make for a fun-filled Friday at BIC

Batelco Fitness on Track, Orange Media Open Track Day to make for a fun-filled Friday at BIC

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has lined up another fun-filled Friday (24 November) in Sakhir with an exciting double-header catered to both fitness enthusiasts and motorsport lovers.

Set to be held as back-to-back activities are Batelco Fitness on Track and Orange Media Open Track Day.

Both offerings attract large numbers of participants and those wishing to take part in either or both events are advised to book their slot in advance.

To make a booking or to get more information, visit BIC’s official website bahraingp.com or call the circuit’s Hotline on +973-17450000.

Batelco Fitness on Track will be held first thing Friday morning from 6am to 10am, giving participants a bright start to their weekend. This fun physical activity is perfect for the whole family or groups of friends to enjoy together, as all will have the chance to exercise either on foot or on a bicycle within BIC’s safe and controlled environment.

Runners and walkers will be utilising BIC’s 2.550-kilometre Inner Circuit, while cyclists will be able to ride their bikes along the 3.543-kilometre Outer Circuit, with another dedicated area for children’s cycling.

The cost to take part is BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners. Payment must be made upon booking. Children under the age of 12 can participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult.

BIC’s Batelco Fitness on Track Season Pass is still also available. At just BD15, it is ideal for regular participants as it grants access to all Batelco Fitness on Track events throughout the season. The pass is thus a great way to save money over the course of the year. Season Passes can be purchased by contacting the BIC Hotline.

Meanwhile, the Orange Media Open Track Day will follow on Friday from 11am to 7pm.

This activity offers motorsport enthusiasts the chance to satisfy their need for speed in their very own car or motorbike.

Participants will be able to push their vehicles to the limit along BIC’s 2.550km Inner Track, all within the safe and controlled environment of “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”.

The cost to take part in Friday’s Orange Media Open Track Day, when booked in advance, is BD82.500 for the full day, BD55 for the half day and BD22 for a single session. Prices for booking on the day itself are BD93.500 for the full day, BD66 for the half day and BD27.500 for a single session.

Instructor sessions are also available at an extra cost, while additional drivers and passengers can also participate for a fee.

Driver etiquette is of ultimate importance in every Orange Media Open Track Day, so there is no close or aggressive overtaking permitted. Overtaking is by invitation between corners and driving is monitored, with poor or dangerous driving being dealt with swiftly by officials.
