Belgium’s Defourny opens Speed Weekend with fine victory in MRF Challenge

Max Defourny of Belgium raced to an impressive first victory in the MRF Challenge today, as Speed Weekend got underway at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.

Defourny completed the 10-lap sprint just 0.301 seconds ahead of runner-up Jamie Chadwick of Great Britain.

Andreas Estner from — was third 0.340s behind, while Danial Frost of — came fourth and Patrick Pasma from — was fifth.

Eleven cars competed in Speed Weekend’s opening race of the MRF Challenge, which is set to feature a total of five this round.

Two others will take place later today and the final two tomorrow.
