Beyon Money F1 Fan Village comes to Block 338 for two-week festival of motorsport and entertainment

  • Beyon Money F1 Village, starts this Friday, running every day until 17 March, with free entry for all.
  • Major local music acts, DJs, F1 ESports, 2022 F1 car display, roaming entertainment, Bahrain craft village and so much more as Bahrain gets ready for F1 weekend.

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, together with Beyon Money, has launched for the first time ever in Bahrain an F1 Fan Festival in the heart of the Kingdom’s capital. The Beyon Money F1 fan village launches this Friday, running through every day until 17 March, bringing a host of motorsport and Bahrain themed entertainment, music and activities.

The Beyon Money F1 fan village is located in the vibrant Block 338 in Adliya, with plenty to enjoy throughout the area including a 2022 F1 car display, your chance to have a photo with the F1 World Championship trophy, an F1 “Pic Stop”, an Esports Zone, a main stage with daily live music performances to liven up the festival atmosphere, together with DJs, roaming family entertainment, street artists and plenty of other colourful attractions.

Visitors will also be able to visit a number of special Bahrain Craft stands in the Village, showcasing the very best of Bahrain traditional handicrafts.

This brand new experience will be open to the public every weekday evening from 6pm to 11pm and weekends from midday to 11pm. The experience will open for the first time this Friday (4 March) from 3pm. All can visit the area free of charge.

The entire F1 fan village is being supported by Beyon Money, which is using the event to highlight how payments and lifestyle are seamlessly connected. Beyon Money is the new Financial Super App, connecting banks, providing cards and payments services, financial insights and remittances.

Fans can also experience a special activation at Beyon Money stand inside the F1 Village with social media engagement and entertainment such as 360 photo booth, and digital interactive screen, as well as having the opportunity to engage with Promoters who will be on hand to explain the Beyon Money App functionalities and instantly onboard customers.

Sheikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive of Bahrain International Circuit, said:

“As our 2022 race marks a new era for the sport, we wanted to mark this by bringing the F1 festival atmosphere into the heart of Bahrain, as we build the excitement for the race weekend. I thank Beyon Money for its support for the Fan Village, as well as BTEA and the 338 Committee, as we host the first F1 event of this nature ever seen in Bahrain.”

For his part, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Dr. Nasser Qaedi, said that the “Beyon Money F1 fan village” is part of the recreational tourism activities that accompany Bahrain’s hosting of Formula 1 races, intending to create a festive atmosphere that attracts more visitors and tourists to Bahrain and enriches their experiences, as well as giving citizens and residents an exceptional opportunity to experience the atmosphere of Formula 1 competitions early through the car shows included in the event.

Dr. Qaedi added: “In collaboration with Bahrain International Circuit, we are working to enhance the F1 experience in Bahrain through a variety of activities and celebrations that meet the aspirations of Bahrain’s motor racing enthusiasts and encourage them to extend their stay in the Kingdom for as long as possible through an integrated tourism program that includes tours to as many tourist attractions as possible as well as various entertainment activities in Bahrain during the March tourism season.”
