BIC celebrates Kingdom’s National Day

BIC celebrates Kingdom’s National Day

On the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebrations of its National Day, the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne, and the accompanying national events, Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) hosts a packed weekend full of excitement for the public, including a spectacular firework display and Beyon Speed Weekend featuring two international race series.

“The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” will be staging the brilliant fireworks show, which is one of the most anticipated held annually in the Kingdom, on Saturday (16 December) evening, scheduled for a 7pm start.

All are invited to enjoy the awesome display of lights and colour that will be illuminating the night sky, which can be enjoyed at BIC as well as from the surrounding Sakhir area. Parking at the circuit will be available free of charge, and food vendors will also be on hand for those coming to watch.

BIC advises fans to arrive early in order to avoid delays due to the large crowds expected.

Meanwhile, BIC held a special gathering for its employees as part of its celebrations. The circuit’s team members were treated to a sumptuous meal as well as music by a traditional Bahrain band.

On the racing side, Beyon Speed Weekend is heating up the tarmac at BIC Friday and Saturday with both the second round of the 2023/2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East (PCCME) season and the first-ever round of the all-new Formula 4 Saudi Arabia Trophy taking place.

All are welcome to attend and entry to BIC is completely free of charge. Action is scheduled to take place from 11am to 4pm on Saturday.

The PCCME is a staple on BIC’s season schedule, being born and developed in Sakhir in cooperation with Lechner Racing. The F4 Saudi Arabia Championship is making its highly anticipated debut in Bahrain. The meeting is the first round of its inaugural season, making for an exciting addition to the long and prestigious list of international, continental, regional and national series to have hit the tarmac at BIC.
