There is just under two weeks remaining for the highly anticipated racing and entertainment spectacle, taking place 29 February to 2 March, but the excitement can already be felt across the Kingdom as Bahrain gets set to celebrate its 20th anniversary in F1. This historic occasion, showcasing “20 Years of a Modern Classic”, kicks off the 2024 FIA F1 World Championship, and it will be Bahrain’s first-ever Saturday night race.

Set to support F1 throughout the grand prix weekend will be the first rounds of 2024 in the FIA Formula 2 Championship and the FIA Formula 3 Championship, as well as the fifth and penultimate round of the 2023/2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East.

Off the track, BIC has put together its biggest-ever entertainment programme for the whole family to enjoy. These will be headlined by live performances by world-renowned music icons, including a Friday night concert by multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning artist Zedd, and a post-race, Saturday night concert by superstar DJ and producer Diplo.

The attractions also include roaming performers; carnival rides; kids’ shows featuring some of their favourite Nickelodeon characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Paw Patrol and Shimmer and Shine; an extreme circus; an F1 Fanzone with many activities offering a genuine F1 experience, and so much more.

Prior to race week, BIC will also be hosting three days of F1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2024 from Wednesday to Friday (Editor’s note: February 21 to 23), with public access available on Thursday and Friday. Access to the tests is free for all those who had purchased their F1 tickets prior to 1 February, whilst tickets are also available at just BD5 per day on BIC’s website.
