BIC expands grandstand capacity to meet significant demand for tickets to Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024

  • BIC to add 500 extra seating capacity in Victory Grandstand

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, announced today the expansion of its grandstand capacity to meet the massive demand for tickets to the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024.

The racing and entertainment spectacle is just around the corner, taking place 29 February to 2 March in Sakhir. It will be celebrating “20 Years of a Modern Classic”, showcasing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s landmark 20th anniversary in Formula 1 as the opening round of the 2024 FIA F1 World Championship.

Grandstand tickets have already completely sold out for BIC’s Main, Beyon, Turn 1, and University stands. Through a reconfiguration of seating, BIC is now able to offer an additional 500 seats in the Victory Grandstand to be able to meet the demand and accommodate more race-goers.

The response from fans to the Kingdom’s race weekend has been tremendous, and the popularity of the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix around the world is at an all-time high.

Those who are eager to pick up one of the now-available 500 grandstand seats can purchase their tickets online at bahraingp.com, by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000, or at the BIC stands in City Centre Bahrain and at the Beyon Money BIC Fan Village.

There is also some availability with BIC’s two remaining hospitality options, The Dome by F1 Experiences and The Champions Club. These are specially curated packages created in cooperation with F1 Experiences for the most passionate of F1 enthusiasts, offering exclusive experiences in an unmatched setting.

This year’s F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will be the Kingdom’s first-ever Saturday night race.

Set to support F1 throughout the weekend will be the first rounds of 2024 in the FIA Formula 2 Championship and the FIA Formula 3 Championship, as well as the fifth and penultimate round of the 2023/2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East.

Off the track, BIC has put together its biggest-ever entertainment programme for the whole family to enjoy. This will be headlined by live performances by world-renowned music icons, including a Friday night concert by multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning artist Zedd, and a post-race, Saturday night concert by superstar DJ and producer Diplo.

The attractions also include roaming performers; carnival rides; kids’ shows featuring some of their favourite Nickelodeon characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Paw Patrol and Shimmer and Shine; an extreme circus; an F1 Fanzone with many activities offering a genuine F1 experience; and so much more.

Prior to race week, BIC will also be hosting three days of F1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2024 from February 21 to 23, with public access available on 22 and 23 February. Access to the tests is free for all those who had purchased their F1 tickets prior to 1 February, whilst tickets are also available at just 5BD per day on BIC’s website.
