BIC hosts Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights on Monday, offering race fans double the excitement
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) hosts one of its fan-favourite experiences on Monday (18 November) featuring two of the most popular and adrenaline-pumping forms of motorsport today.
Set to take place at ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’ is the Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights.
This incredibly exciting offering gives speed enthusiasts the chance to enjoy twice the thrills as they bring their very own cars or motorbikes and push them to their limits, either down BIC’s world-class, quarter-mile drag strip, or at the vast vehicle dynamics area. There is also the option to do both the drag racing and drifting, making for a fantastic double-header over a single evening’s activity.
Monday’s Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights is scheduled to take place from 6pm to 11pm.
The BIC drag strip is highly regarded as one of the best in the world, and it is a part of the prestigious NHRA Worldwide Network of the U.S.-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). The BIC’s vehicle dynamics area features a specially configured layout for drifters. It is surrounded by safety barriers and is one of the largest open tarmac areas in Bahrain, making for an ideal venue to put on an amazing display of power sliding within a secure environment.
Both the drag racing and the drifting can be done for a single fee of BD11. Participation in just the drag racing or just the drifting costs BD8. Those who would like to experience the drag or drift as a passenger can get into a participant’s car for an additional fee of BD4.500. Registration for those wishing to join can be done on site.
Aside from the drag racing and drifting, also available for thrill-seekers Monday night is the Dragster Experience. This is BIC’s most adrenaline-pumping passenger activity, known as ‘The Fastest Ride on Earth’. It takes one or two participants at a time in an iconic Top Dragster, and they go from zero to 100kph in a mind-boggling one second.
The Dragster Experience is available at BD44 for the first passenger, while a second passenger can get 50 per cent off.
Spectators who wish to attend and watch the action in the Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights can purchase their tickets online at BD2 apiece at BIC’s official website bahraingp.com. Tickets for children aged 12 and below are BD1 each.
