BIC set for busy weekend of fan experiences with Batelco Fitness on Track and Open Track Day

BIC set for busy weekend of fan experiences with Batelco Fitness on Track and Open Track Day

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) continues its busy in-season calendar this weekend with back-to-back days of experiences on track.

Taking place Friday (22 November) morning at ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’ will be Batelco Fitness on Track – BIC’s fan-favourite exercise activity for those looking to keep physically healthy.

The intensity then dials up a notch on Saturday (23 November) with Open Track Day, offering speed enthusiasts the opportunity to power along a Formula 1 host venue in their very own cars or motorbikes.

Both activities are part of BIC’s stacked calendar for the 2024/2025 season, which has plenty more on offer both on the tarmac and off of it.

To make a booking for either Batelco Fitness on Track or Open Track Day, visit BIC’s official website bahraingp.com or call the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000.

Friday’s Batelco Fitness on Track is scheduled for 6am to 10am, making for a bright and early start to the weekend.

The activity can be done both on foot or on a bicycle – either individually or with a group of friends and family. Runners and walkers will be utilising BIC’s 2.550-kilometre Inner Circuit, while cyclists will get to ride their bikes along the 3.543-kilometre Outer Circuit, with another dedicated area for children’s cycling.

The cost to take part is BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners. Payment must be made upon booking. Children under the age of 12 can participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult.

BIC’s Batelco Fitness on Track Season Pass is also still available. This is ideal for regular participants as it grants access to all Batelco Fitness on Track events throughout the season, at the affordable price of just BD15. The pass is thus a great way to save money over the course of the year, with Batelco Fitness on Track being held multiple times each month, all the way through to April of 2025. Season Passes can be purchased by contacting the BIC Hotline.

On Saturday, Open Track Day will then be giving motorsport lovers the ultimate thrill with a drive like no other in their private vehicles. The day’s events will be held from 11am to 6pm along BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Circuit.

Open Track is one of the most sought-after activities at BIC. Driver etiquette is of ultimate importance, and there is no close or aggressive overtaking permitted. Overtaking is by invitation between corners and driving is monitored, with poor or dangerous driving being dealt with swiftly.

Those interested in taking part can book their slot in advance at a reduced rate. The cost for the full day is BD82.500, while the half day is BD55, and a single session is BD22. If booking on the day itself, the cost is BD93.500 for the full day, BD66 for half the day, and BD27.500 for a single session. Instructor sessions are also available, while additional drivers and passengers can participate, all for an additional fee.
