BIC set for exciting week with E K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights, Batelco Fitness on Track
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, continues its packed calendar of experiences this week with successive evenings of exciting fan-favourites in Sakhir.
Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights will first be lighting up the strip and drift park on Monday (23 December), and then Batelco Fitness on Track keeps the activity level high on Tuesday for a pre-Christmas workout (24 December).

Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights offers speed enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy twice the thrills in their very own cars or motorbikes. They will be able to push their vehicles to their limits either down BIC’s world-class, quarter-mile drag strip, or around the circuit’s vast vehicle dynamics area.
There is also the option to do both, making for a unique double-header over a single evening’s activity.
The BIC drag strip is highly regarded as one of the best in the world, and it is a part of the prestigious NHRA Worldwide Network of the U.S.-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). BIC’s vehicle dynamics area features a specially configured layout for drifters. It is surrounded by safety barriers and is one of the largest open tarmac areas in Bahrain, making for an ideal venue to put on an amazing display of power sliding within a secure environment.
Monday’s Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights is scheduled to take place from 6pm to 11pm. Both the drag racing and the drifting can be done for a single fee of BD11. Participation in just the drag racing or just the drifting costs BD8.
Those who would like to join in on the drag or drifting as a passenger can get into a participant’s car for an additional fee of BD4.500. Registration for those wishing to join can be done on site.
Aside from the drag racing and drifting, also available for thrill-seekers Monday night is the Dragster Experience. This is BIC’s most adrenaline-pumping passenger activity, known as ‘The Fastest Ride on Earth’, and it takes one or two passengers at a time in an iconic Top Dragster, where they go from zero to 100kph in a mind-boggling one second.
The Dragster Experience is available at BD44 for the first passenger, while a second passenger can get 50 per cent off.
Spectators who wish to attend and watch the action in the Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights can purchase their tickets online at BD2 apiece at BIC’s official website bahraingp.com. Tickets for children aged 12 and below are BD1 each.
Meanwhile, BIC hosts Batelco Fitness on Track on Tuesday under lights from 6pm to 10pm.
Participants will have a chance to break a sweat either on foot or on a bicycle within the world-class setting of a Formula 1 host venue.
The activity can be done either individually or with a group of friends and family. Runners and walkers will be utilising BIC’s 2.550-kilometre Inner Circuit, while cyclists will get to ride their bikes along the 3.543-kilometre Outer Circuit, with another dedicated area for children’s cycling.
The cost to take part is BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners. Payment must be made upon booking. Children under the age of 12 can participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult.
BIC’s Batelco Fitness on Track Season Pass is also still available. This is ideal for regular participants as it grants access to all Batelco Fitness on Track events throughout the season, at the affordable price of just BD15. The pass is thus a great way to save money over the course of the year, with Batelco Fitness on Track being held multiple times each month, all the way through to April of 2025. Season Passes can be purchased by contacting the BIC Hotline.
