BIC team treated to special gathering in celebration of Bahrain National Day

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, hosted on Thursday a special gathering for the circuit’s team to celebrate the Kingdom of Bahrain’s 51st National Day and the 23rd Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne.

The event took place at the BIC Paddock. In attendance were BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, BIC Chief Operating Officer Fayez Ramzy Fayez, BIC Chief Commercial Officer Sherif Al Mahdy, members of BIC’s management, other circuit officials and staff.

The gathering included a sumptuous lunch buffet with live cooking stations, a traditional band on site and some fun activities for all who attended to enjoy.

The circuit regularly holds similar events for its team throughout the calendar year, in appreciation of their hard work and dedication and to strengthen camaraderie within the BIC family.

Meanwhile, BIC has lined up a fantastic series of events and activities for the public to mark Bahrain’s National Day and HM the King’s Accession to the Throne.

They are being held on Friday and Saturday (16 and 17 December) as part of Bahrain’s season of Festivities, organised by Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority across the Kingdom throughout December.

These will be headlined by a spectacular fireworks display in the Kingdom marking the occasion, to be held on Friday evening in Sakhir. The show is scheduled to begin at 7pm, and BIC is inviting all to attend and be a part of the electric atmosphere and colourful celebrations.

The National Day fireworks are traditionally held at BIC each year, and it draws massive crowds of families of all nationalities who not only flock to the circuit, but also to the surrounding nearby areas from where they can enjoy different vantage points of the spectacular show.

Aside from the fireworks, BIC will also be hosting a Batelco Fitness on Track activity early in the morning Friday, a motorbike parade featuring more than 300 participants from all over the Gulf, and BIC’s widely popular Track Experience on Saturday.
