Circus Extreme to bring acrobatics and off-track thrills to F1 Bahrain GP weekend at BIC
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is bringing in a world-class team of circus performers to put on an incredible show for fans of all ages attending the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024.
Globally renowned act Circus Extreme will be a part of the biggest-ever off-track entertainment programme at the highly anticipated F1 weekend, taking place in just over a week’s time from 29 February to 2 March at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”. The event will be the opening round of the 2024 FIA F1 World Championship, and it will be celebrating “20 Years of a Modern Classic”—the landmark 20th anniversary of the Kingdom of Bahrain in motor racing’s top flight.
This year’s F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will also be the first-ever Saturday night race at BIC, making for an additional spectacle to the already extra-special occasion in Sakhir.
Tickets to the grand prix weekend have already completely sold out for BIC’s Main, Beyon, Turn 1, and University grandstands. Through a reconfiguration of seating, BIC is now able to offer an additional 500 seats in the Victory Grandstand to be able to meet the demand and accommodate more race-goers.
Those who are eager to pick up one of the now-available Victory Grandstand seats can purchase their tickets online at bahraingp.com, by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000, or at the BIC stands in City Centre Bahrain and at the Beyon Money BIC Fan Village.
There is also some availability with BIC’s two remaining hospitality options, The Dome by F1 Experiences and The Champions Club. These are specially curated packages created in cooperation with F1 Experiences for the most passionate of F1 enthusiasts, offering exclusive experiences in an unmatched setting.
Circus Extreme is coming to BIC for the first time, and it is set to offer race-goers the exciting blend of a traditional circus experience with a contemporary twist.
The show is a favourite of all generations, both children and adults alike, and combines meticulously orchestrated, high-energy musical accompaniment with a roster of exceptionally skilled performers.
Circus Extreme is made up of a team of acrobats proficient in various disciplines such as parkour, tightrope, pole, BMX, unicycle, hoop, dance, and much more. Their wide assortment of talents will surely engage audiences, with the carefully selected music complementing the performance, and fostering an atmosphere conducive to audience participation.
In addition to Circus Extreme, BIC has lined up so much more as part of the biggest-ever entertainment line-up at F1 weekend.
This will be headlined by live performances by world-renowned music icons, including a Friday night concert by multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning artist Zedd, and a post-race, Saturday night concert by superstar DJ and producer Diplo.
The attractions also include roaming performers; carnival rides; kids’ shows featuring some of their favourite Nickelodeon characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Paw Patrol and Shimmer and Shine; an F1 Fanzone with many activities offering a genuine F1 experience; and so much more.
Prior to race weekend, BIC is set to host three days of F1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2024 from this Wednesday to Friday (February 21 to 23), offering a sneak preview of the F1 teams’ contenders ahead of the new campaign.
