Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights set for Monday at BIC to continue motorsport thrills all through Ramadan

Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights set for Monday at BIC to continue motorsport thrills all through Ramadan

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) hosts the latest edition of the Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights on Monday (18 March), giving speed enthusiasts the chance to enjoy supreme thrills in two of the most popular forms of motorsport today.

The exciting double-header continues the stacked programme of activities being held all throughout the holy month of Ramadan at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”.

Participants will have the opportunity to bring their very own cars or motorbikes and push them to their limits, either down BIC’s world-class, quarter-mile drag strip or at the circuit’s vast vehicle dynamics area.

There is also the option to do both, making for twice the electricity in a single night’s event.

Monday’s Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights is scheduled to take place from 8.30pm to 1.30am. Registration can be done on site.

Both the drag racing and the drifting can be done for a single fee of BD11. Participation in just the drag racing or just the drifting costs BD8. Those who would like to experience the drag or drift as a passenger can get into a participant’s car for an additional fee of BD4.500.

Spectators who wish to attend the Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights can purchase their tickets at BD2 apiece online at BIC’s official website bahraingp.com. Tickets for children aged 12 and below are BD1 each.

The BIC strip is highly regarded as one of the best in the world of drag racing. It is a part of the prestigious NHRA Worldwide Network of the U.S.-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).

Meanwhile, BIC’s vehicle dynamics area features a specially configured layout for drifters. It is surrounded by safety barriers and is one of the largest open tarmac areas in Bahrain, making for an ideal venue to put on an amazing display of power sliding within a secure environment.

Aside from the drag racing and drifting, also available to race fans on Monday night is the Dragster Experience. This unique activity is BIC’s most adrenaline-pumping passenger ride, also known as “the Fastest Ride on Earth”. Those who are brave enough will enjoy a taste of pure speed as they are taken from zero to 100kph in just one second, while seated in a Top Dragster.

The Dragster Experience is available at BD44 for the first passenger, while a second passenger can get 50 per cent off.
