Mini takes pole for F3 Feature Race

Mini takes pole for F3 Feature Race

Gabriele Mini of Hitech Pulse-Eight grabbed pole position for the season-opening Feature Race of the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship, set to take place Sunday at the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2023.

Josep Maria Marti of Campos Racing will start from the front of the grid for the Sprint Race, taking place Saturday.

Mini captured his leading slot after finishing F3 Qualifying in first place today with a fastest lap of one minute 47.055 seconds.

Gabriel Bortoleto followed second on the timesheet with a lap of 1:47.112, while Gregoire Saucy came third on a lap of 1:47.166.

Marti will start in pole for the Sprint following F3’s reverse grid rule. He finished Qualifying in 12th place overall with a best lap of 1:47.391 amongst the field of 30 cars.

Saturday’s Sprint is scheduled for a 12.15pm start.
