New season of BIC fan experiences flags off Monday with EK Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights

New season of BIC fan experiences flags off Monday with EK Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights

A fantastic new season of Bahrain International Circuit’s (BIC) most thrilling fan experiences flags off on Monday (25 September) next week with the Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights.

As the scorching summer temperatures begin to come down, the action and intensity at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” are set to rise, and race fans are invited to make the most of BIC’s exciting bouquet of activities.

Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights is just one of the many offerings at the world-renowned Sakhir track. The widely popular double-header gives speed enthusiasts the opportunity to take their very own cars or motorbikes and push them to their limits down the strip, or put on an amazing display of power sliding along BIC’s vast vehicle dynamics area.

There is also the option for participants to enjoy both, making for twice the thrills in a single action-packed event.

Monday’s Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights will take place from 6pm to 11pm. Registration for participants can be done on site from 5pm.

Both the drag and the drift can be enjoyed for a fee of BD11. Participation in just the drag racing or just the drifting costs BD8. Those who would like to experience the drag or drift as a passenger can get into a participant’s car for an additional fee of BD4.500.

BIC’s quarter-mile strip is highly regarded as one of the best in the world of drag racing. It is a part of the prestigious Worldwide Network, under the banner of the U.S.-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). The vehicle dynamics area, meanwhile, features a specially configured layout for drifters. It is surrounded by safety barriers, and it is one of the largest open tarmac areas in Bahrain, making for an ideal venue for drifting enthusiasts to showcase their skills within a secure environment.

In addition to the Drag and Drift, also available Monday night is the Dragster Experience, BIC’s most adrenaline-pumping passenger activity also known as “the Fastest Ride on Earth!”

Fans will have a chance to get a taste of pure speed as they are taken from zero to 100kph in just one second while seated in a Top Dragster. The Dragster Experience is available at BD44 for the first passenger, while a second passenger can get 50 per cent off.

Spectators who wish to attend the event can purchase their tickets online at BIC’s official website bahraingp.com for BD2 apiece. Tickets for children aged 12 and below are BD1 each.

Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights will be held all throughout the season until April of next year. Following next week’s event, it will also take place on the following dates: 9 October, 20 November, and 11 and 25 December in 2023; as well as on 8 and 29 January, 5 February, 11 and 18 March, and 15 April in 2024.

Fans looking to be a part of the action must mark their calendars today so as not to miss out on the available dates.
