Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge ME – Free Practice 1

Leon Koehler of Germany was quickest during the first free practice of the season-opening round of the 2019/2020 Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East, being held as part of WEC weekend at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).

Koehler had a best lap time of two minutes 03.289 seconds with 10 laps in total.

Saul Hack of South Africa followed 0.327 seconds back, while Berkay Besler of Turkey came third 0.438s adrift.

 

 

All three were running in the series’ Pro class.

Jesse Van Kuijk was the leader in the ProAm category with a fastest lap of 2:04.596, while Shaikh Jaber Al Khalifa of Bahrain was the top man amongst the Am runners with a fastest lap of 2:08.472.

The Porsche runners, who are competing in identical Porsche GT3 Cup cars type 991.2, return to action at 3.45pm with the weekend’s first Qualifying.
