Three-time World Champion Michael van Gerwen joins cast of stars set for 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters at BIC
The star-studded cast of players set to compete in the 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters continues to take shape, as three-time World Champion and current world number two Michael van Gerwen is the latest big name to confirm his participation in the event.
The prestigious darts spectacle is scheduled to take place 18 and 19 January at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir. “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” is hosting the event in cooperation with sports promoter CBX, and with the support of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).
The Bahrain Darts Masters is the opening stage of the Professional Darts Corporation’s (PDC) 2024 World Series of Darts global tour, and it is making a return to the Kingdom following its incredible debut earlier this year.
Van Gerwen is joining three other massive icons whose entries have already been announced by BIC in the past weeks. They include first-ever Bahrain Darts Masters winner and reigning World Champion Michael Smith, and former World Champions Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price.
Van Gerwen is the recently crowned 2023 World Series of Darts Finals champion—a title he has now won five times. The Dutch ace has claimed countless accolades on the biggest stage in the game, and he will be making a much-anticipated debut in Bahrain for next year’s event.
Van Gerwen’s addition to the line-up of Smith, Wright and Price makes for four of the biggest names in darts confirmed for Bahrain, and the roster is set to attract even more icons of the sport, who will be announced in due course.
Tickets to the 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters are now on sale, with a limited-time 20 per cent Early Bird discount currently on offer.
Tickets start from BD20 (after the Early Bird discount) for a two-day pass, with premium seating, including stage-side tables, from just BD32 for two days.

Fans are urged to act quickly, as the Early Bird discount is for a limited time only and the event is expected to sell out, based on the popularity of the 2023 showcase.
The 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters will once again take place in BIC’s beautifully set-up dome tent, which will host the event’s fun and electric atmosphere. Those attending will be able to show off their flair for colourful costumes and fancy dress, while enjoying the highest level of darts in a venue specially designed to replicate the famed Alexandra Palace in the UK, the home of the World Darts Championship
