Axwell set for spectacular Sunday night concert at F1 Gulf Air Bahrain GP 2025 at BIC

  • Grammy-nominated artist, DJ and producer to bring the curtain down on F1 weekend with epic post-race celebration off the track on 13 April

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, announced today that Grammy-nominated artist, DJ and producer Axwell will be performing live at the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025.

The highly anticipated F1 spectacle is scheduled for 11 to 13 April in Sakhir, and Axwell will be taking to the stage on the Sunday night of the race weekend on 13 April.

His show will bring the curtain down on the final day of action and entertainment at BIC, making for a spectacular post-race celebration off the track. Axwell’s concert will be open to all ticket-holders at no extra cost.

Axwell is the co-founder of both Swedish House Mafia and Axwell Λ Ingrosso. In 1995, he dropped his very first vinyl, adopting the moniker OXL. By the turn of the century, he emerged as a sought-after remixer, delivering popular remixes of “Burn” by Usher, “Ma, I Don’t Love Her” by Clipse and Faith Evans, “Maybe” by N*E*R*D, “Angel” by Pharrell, “Promiscuous” by Nelly Furtado, and “Jump” by Madonna, to name a few.

As part of Swedish House Mafia, he notched back-to-back Grammy nominations in the category of “Best Dance Recording” for the platinum “Save the World” in 2012 and quintuple-platinum “Don’t You Worry Child” in 2013. Later, as part of Axwell Λ Ingrosso he was vaulted to the forefront of electronic music with a 2017 full-length debut, More Than You Know. “Something New”, “On My Way”, “Sun Is Shining”, “I Love You” [feat. Kid Ink], the gold-certified “More Than You Know,” and “Dreamer” [feat. Trevor Guthrie], were all hits. The album generated a staggering five billion total streams and counting.

Axwell has also claimed a spot on DJ Mag’s “Top 100 DJs” list nine times and won four DJ Awards.
Today, Axwell continues to reach a new stratosphere with each evolution as he sets the pace for electronic music and connects with audiences everywhere.

His live performance can be enjoyed along with plenty of other off-track entertainment attractions at the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025. Axwell’s show adds to the concerts of multi-platinum DJ and producer Fadil El Ghoul, better known as R3HAB, on the Friday night of race weekend on 11 April, and of international dance music superstar Peggy Gou on the Saturday night on 12 April.

Those wishing to experience the concerts at the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025 but have yet to purchase their tickets are advised to do so at the earliest to avoid missing out on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s biggest event of the year.

Tickets are now with only very limited availability as BIC’s Main, Turn 1, Beyon, and University grandstands are completely sold out. Only the Victory Grandstand remains, but in very limited quantities. Tickets can also be purchased online at bahraingp.com, by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000, or at the BIC stand at City Centre Bahrain.

This year’s F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix features the slogan “The Desert Never Sleeps”, and it will mark the fourth round of the 2025 FIA F1 World Championship. It will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of both F1 and national carrier and grand prix title sponsor Gulf Air.
