BIC hosts Open Track and Ultimate Track Experience in exciting weekend of thrills

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) brings the thrills back to motoring fans this weekend with two exciting days of adrenaline-pumping events, including Open Track and the Ultimate Track Experience.

These are two of the most popular activities at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” as they put speed enthusiasts in the heart of the action.

Open Track will be held on Friday (October 25) while the Ultimate Track Experience takes place on Saturday (October 26). Both offerings will be held along BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Track.

Friday’s Open Track is scheduled from 9am until 5pm. It is expected to draw in scores of participants and their sports cars or motorbikes, some of which are rarely ever seen hitting the streets. Many of these top-of-the-line automobiles will be coming from all over the Gulf.

The cost to take part is BD89.500 for the full day and BD63 for a half day. There is also an option of a single session for BD26.500. Discounts are available for those who book in advance.

Also set to be held as part of the Open Track Day are the Jaguar Experience, and passenger experiences in a Clio Cup sports car and Radical SR3 prototype.

Delivered through a unique and tailored drive, the Jaguar Experience has been designed to ensure that all guests are given a dynamic, hands-on and memorable time in a Jaguar F-Type. The cost for the Jaguar Experience is BD63.

The Clio Cup is a Renault-manufactured racing machine that features a 1.6-litre Turbocharged engine that can generate up to 220bhp and 6,000rpm. The passenger experience can be bought for BD26.500.

The Radical SR3 boasts an RPE-Suzuki Generation 1,340 DOHC engine. It can go from zero to 100kmh in 3.4 seconds, and it has a six-speed sequential gearbox and paddle gearshift system. The SR3 passenger ride costs BD37.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Ultimate Track Experience will be held from 8am until 4pm. It is set to include drives in a Clio Cup and in a Radical SR1 prototype, and then for the second straight day the pair of thrilling passenger rides in the Clio Cup and the ultra-quick Radical SR3.

The Clio Cup drive can be purchased for BD115.500. The Radical SR1 prototype features a 1,340cc engine which can generate 185bhp. It launches from zero to 100kph in 3.6 seconds. This drive costs BD126, and completing the Clio Cup drive is a prerequisite to taking part in the SR1 experience.

Both the Clio Cup and SR3 passenger rides are the same price as on Friday.
