BIC launches brand-new fleet of state-of-the-art Sodikarts at world-class karting track
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, announced today that it has launched its brand-new fleet of state-of-the-art karts at its world-class grassroots motorsport facility, Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC).
Available for hire every day through BIKC’s various Arrive-and-Drive and Mini GP options, the new Sodikarts offer race fans the ultimate driving experience.
The fleet includes RT10 nine-horsepower and RT10 13hp Sodikarts, as well as the LR6 seven-hp Sodikart. These racing machines offer motorsport enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to enjoy a thrill like no other along BIKC’s 1.414-kilometre CIK-FIA track.
The RT10 9hp Sodikart features a Honda GX270 four-stroke engine and the RT10 13hp Sodikart is powered by a Honda GX390 four-stroke engine. Both Sodikarts feature Easy Drive Technology – a patented system for smoother, more precise steering and enhanced driving comfort.
As in all events and activities at BIC and BIKC, safety is paramount for all those involved. Both RT10 Sodikarts are thus equipped with the best safety features in karting today, including an integrated safety harness, a deformable four-wheel protection system, and plastic sliding protection to limit the risk of impacts.
Meanwhile, the LR6 Sodikart has a Honda GX200 four-stroke engine and includes a patented shock-absorption system to protect drivers’ heads from impacts, along with high-density plastic protection that covers the perimeter of the kart. It also features Easy Drive Technology plus an Anti-Gas/Brake System, which prevents the driver from accelerating and braking at the same time.
All the new Sodikarts boast adjustable steering and pedal mechanisms, as well as adjustable seats, for added driver comfort and maneuverability.
The cost for a 15-minute Arrive-and-Drive session in the new RT10 nine-hp Sodikart is BD14, while a double session of a total 30 minutes can be purchased at a discounted rate of BD24. A 15-minute session in the new RT10 13hp Sodikart is BD17 and BD31 for the double session.
For the LR6 seven-hp Sodikart for kids, a 15-minute Arrive-and-Drive session costs BD14 and the double session is BD24.
A Mini GP can also be availed at BIKC for groups of 10 or more karters. This exciting activity features three sessions on track, and the price is BD54 per person for the RT10 nine-hp Sodikarts and BD67 per person for the RT10 13hp Sodikarts.
BIKC is open daily between 10am and 11.30pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays and between 4pm and 11.30pm on Sundays and Mondays. Interested karters are advised to book their sessions ahead on bahraingp.com or by calling BIKC on +973-17451745.
