BIC set for a fantastic Friday double-header with Batelco Fitness on Track and Open Track

BIC set for a fantastic Friday double-header with Batelco Fitness on Track and Open Track

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, welcomes the public for an exciting double-header this Friday (17 October), with activities both in the fast lane and off of it.

Kicking things off with an early morning workout is Batelco Fitness on Track – a fun physical activity that can be enjoyed individually or with family and friends. Then, later on at night, the intensity goes up a notch as BIC opens its doors for the first Open Track of the season, giving speed enthusiasts the opportunity to take their very own cars or motorbikes for a spin around a world-famous Formula 1 venue.

To make a booking for either activity or to get more information, visit BIC’s official website bahraingp.com or call the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000.

Batelco Fitness on Track will be held from 6am to 10am on Friday morning, making for a bright start to the weekend. The activity can be done either on foot or on a bicycle, giving participants the chance to select their preferred workout programme.

Runners and walkers will be utilising BIC’s 2.550-kilometre Inner Circuit, while cyclists will get to ride their bikes along the 3.543-kilometre Outer Circuit, with another dedicated area for children’s cycling.

The cost to take part is BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners. Payment must be made upon booking. Children under the age of 12 can participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult.

BIC’s Batelco Fitness on Track Season Pass is also available – ideal for regular participants as it grants access to all Batelco Fitness on Track events throughout the season. At the affordable price of just BD15, the pass is a great way to save money over the course of the year, with Batelco Fitness on Track being held multiple times each month, all the way through to April of 2026. Season Passes can be purchased by contacting the BIC Hotline.

Following an afternoon break, Open Track will then light up the facility this Friday night from 6pm to 10pm.

Speed lovers will be able to enjoy a thrill like no other, taking their very own private vehicles for an unforgettable spin along BIC’s 5.412-kilometre Grand Prix Circuit.

Those interested in taking part can book their slot in advance at a reduced rate. The discounted cost for the full night is BD99, while the half night is BD71.500, and a single session is BD33. If booking on the evening itself, the cost is BD115.500 for the full night, BD82.500 for half the night, and BD44 for a single session.

Instructor sessions are also available, while additional drivers and passengers can participate, all for an additional fee.

In every Open Track activity, driver etiquette is of ultimate importance, and there is no close or aggressive overtaking permitted. Overtaking is by invitation between corners and driving is monitored, with poor or dangerous driving being dealt with swiftly.
