BIC set to welcome fans for Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain this weekend with huge racing and entertainment schedule

  • Gates will be open from 10am to 8pm on both days of endurance racing spectacle
  • Music and dance acts, roaming performers and family entertainment on show throughout race weekend
  • Tickets available online or at the gate for weekend spectacular

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, is all set welcome fans Friday and Saturday (Editor’s note: October 29 and 30) for this year’s FIA WEC Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain—the first of back-to-back events in Bahrain’s World Endurance Championship (WEC) double-header. The meeting is to be the fifth and penultimate round of the WEC’s 2021 season.

BIC will be welcoming members of the public on both days. Gates are scheduled to open at 10am and will close at 8pm.

Tickets for Friday and Saturday can be purchased online or at the gate. They cost just BD5 for adults (BD8 for both WEC event weekends) and BD2.5 for children aged three to 12 years old (BD4 for both events). Kids under three are free, whilst there are also further discounts available for students, those with special needs and senior citizens.

Ticket prices offer one of the most affordable ways to witness a World Championship motorsport event. Full details are available at bahraingp.com.

Spectator entry policy for the races will be in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s prevailing COVID-19 traffic light system. Under the current green conditions, entry is permitted to all.

The Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain will be followed on November 5 and 6 by the championship finale, the FIA WEC Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain.

On both weekends, there will be plenty to enjoy off the track for the whole family. BIC has lined up a vibrant entertainment programme to complement the racing action, and it features a colourful mix of stage acts, roaming entertainers and kids’ rides and activities.

The stage acts and roaming entertainers will be performing at various times throughout the day. Amongst the top attractions will be the “Hakuna Matata” African dance show, which will have four 40-minute sets each day.

A pair of popular local bands will also take to the stage, including Kushari Band and The Legendz. Kushari Band will be performing twice daily, while The Legendz will be on three times each day.

The roaming entertainers will be out and about in BIC’s vending area interacting with fans with their unique acts.

These are set to include a Fire Show, an LED Dance Show and a Bongo Percussion performance.

Meanwhile, a fantastic activity area for kids of all ages will be located along the BIC vending area behind the circuit’s Main Grandstand. Young race-goers will be able to enjoy all kinds of attractions, ranging from exciting, adrenaline-pumping rides to face painting.

There will be an ice rink to go skating, a trampoline and maze, plus rides in the Flying Car and Pirate Ship. There is also a Bunny Carousel, an Inflatable Cars Circuit, a Thomas the Train ride and a Dream Land experience.

All this and much more will be awaiting all those attending.
