Felipe Drugovich wrapped up the three-day Formula 2 post-season tests at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) today by topping the overall timesheet.

Felipe Drugovich wrapped up the three-day Formula 2 post-season tests at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) today by topping the overall timesheet.

The Uni-Virtuosi man set a fastest lap of 1min 42.435secs while completing 26 laps of work in the three-hour afternoon session.

Drugovich was 0.349secs quicker than Oscar Piastri testing in a Prema Racing car, while Marcus Armstrong of Dams was 0.392secs off the pace.

Robert Shwartzman of Prema, Drugovich’s teammate Clement Novalak, Guilherme Samaia of Charouz Racing System, Roy Nissany of Dams and Roberto Merhi of BWT HWA Racelab rounded out the top eight.

Drugovich’s time was not as quick as the morning’s fastest lap of 1min 41.827secs, set by Louis Deletraz of MP Motorsport. He completed 25 laps of work in the session’s three hours of running.

Jehan Daruvala of Carlin, who set the overall pace on the first two days, was once again amongst the quickest, finishing 0.178secs off Daruvala’s pace, while Juri Vips of Hitech Grand Prix was third on the times 0.318secs behind.

Dan Ticktum in the other Carlin, Liam Lawson of Hitech, Lirim Zendeli of in the second MP car, and the Campos Racing pair of Ralph Boschung and Logan Sargeant were all in the top eight.

A total of 22 runners took part in today’s tests.

The post-season tests follow the completion of the 2020 F2 season, which held its final two rounds at BIC over the past couple of weeks.
