Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights returns Monday for more thrilling action at BIC
Bahrain International Circuit, “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, hosts another edition of the widely popular Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights on Monday (7 February) as the year-round calendar of non-stop excitement continues.
The event offers participants the opportunity to take their very own car or motorbike and push them to their limit either down the world-class drag strip or around the circuit’s Vehicle Dynamics Area, or both.
BIC is a member of the prestigious National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Worldwide Network, and its quarter-mile strip is highly regarded as one of the best in all of drag racing.
For the drifting, BIC’s Vehicle Dynamics Area will be utilised. It is a specially configured venue at BIC’s car park that has been surrounded by safety barriers. It is the largest open tarmac area in Bahrain and an ideal location for drifters to showcase their abilities.
Both the drag and the drifting can be enjoyed for a single fee of BD11. Participation in just the drag racing or just the drifting costs BD8. Registration can be done on site from 5pm and the action will be held from 6pm to 11pm.
Those who would like to experience the drag or drift as a passenger can get into a participant’s car for an additional BD4.500. Spectators can purchase tickets for BD2 apiece.
In addition to the Drag and Drift, also available is BIC’s most adrenaline-pumping passenger rides, the Dragster Experience, also known as “the Fastest Ride on Earth!” Fans will have a chance to get a taste of pure speed as they are taken from zero to 100kph in just one second while seated in a Top Dragster. The Dragster Experience is available at BD44 for the first passenger while the second passenger can get 50 per cent off.
Attendees should note that the green shield, as shown on the BeAware App, must be presented on entry. Children under 12 will be permitted entry when accompanied by a qualifying adult. Also, safety standards of the highest level are followed at all times during the evening’s events for both drivers and spectators alike.
