Taichi Watarai from Japan was quickest this afternoon in the second practice session of the 2025/2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East’s (PCCME) season-opening round, being held as part of the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain weekend at Bahrain International Circuit.

Watarai set a best lap time of 2min 03.578secs in 45 minutes of running to go 0.049secs faster than Saud Al Saud of Saudi Arabia. Max Mutschlechner from Italy was classified third on the timesheet 0.589s back.

The top three were all competing in the series’ Pro class.

Cedric Chassang from France set the pace amongst the ProAm participants with a top lap of 2:05.166, while Krister Andero from Sweden was the Masters’ category’s best with a best time of 2:05.268.

The PCCME will be back in action tomorrow for qualifying at 11.10am, setting the grid for race one later tomorrow evening at 5.45pm.
