- Race-goers to enjoy incredible fan-engagement experiences on Saturday with WEC pitwalk and autograph session

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, has begun welcoming to the Kingdom the star drivers, team members, and officials who will be taking part in this weekend’s Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain.
The highly anticipated eighth and final round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) will be taking Sakhir by storm on Friday and Saturday (Editor’s note: 7 and 8 November).
Upon touching down on the island, the visiting WEC competitors were given a warm welcome at Bahrain International Airport by BIC’s Meet and Greet Team, who assisted them in their arrival formalities and in transporting them to their respective residences across Bahrain for the coming week.
BIC is also already bustling with activity as the final preparations for the weekend’s events are in full swing. The WEC’s Hypercar and LMGT3 squads have begun setting up their garages and home bases along the BIC paddock, and all are greatly looking forward to the start of on-track action this Thursday (Editor’s note: 6 November), which will feature a pair of WEC practices to be held behind closed doors.
BIC will then open its gates to the public on Friday when a third practice session will be held, followed by qualifying and Hyperpole later that evening. That will determine the starting order for Saturday’s main event, the WEC’s only eight-hour race on the calendar, which will be flagging off in daylight conditions at 2pm and then wrapping up under lights at night at 10pm.
Gates are scheduled to open on both days of WEC weekend at 10.30am. On Friday, gates will close at 6.30pm, and on Saturday at 10pm.
Race-goers on Saturday will be able to take part in a pair of exciting fan-engagement activities, to be held as part of the pre-race build-up.
From 11.45am to 12.35pm, they can go for a pitwalk and see the WEC teams up close in their garages, hard at work tuning up their contenders before lining up on the grid. During this time, fans will also be able to meet their favourite drivers, take pictures with them, and have memorabilia signed during the WEC autograph session, set to take place between 11.50am and 12.20pm. These experiences are included in the ticket price and can be enjoyed at no extra cost.
The WEC is one of the most prestigious series in all of motor racing, and tickets to the event offer tremendous value for an occasion of its calibre – rates that cannot be matched anywhere else in the world for a world championship event under the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
Grandstand seats cost just BD5.5 for adults and BD2.75 for children for both days of racing and family entertainment. They can be bought online at bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000. Hospitality packages are also available to enjoy the event from BIC’s luxurious suites. These are priced at BD290 per person, excluding VAT, for the two days.
All those attending the race weekend will be able to experience the open paddock – an offering unique to BIC’s annual WEC event. Fans will be able to cross the BIC tunnel from the vending area and access the paddock, which is where the WEC’s star drivers and their teams call home for the duration of the meeting.
This year’s Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain will be the 14th WEC race to take place in Sakhir. It will also be the seventh time it is being held in its current eight-hour format.
Aside from the WEC, there will also be plenty of support race action in the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East as well as non-stop family entertainment on both days – ensuring that there is something for everybody.
All tickets purchased will make a lasting impact off the track as BIC and Bapco Energies are once again collaborating on the ground-breaking Green Ticket Initiative. For every WEC ticket sold, a proportion of the revenue, matched by Bapco Energies, will be donated to a fund which will directly support the planting of new mangroves in Bahrain.
Bapco Energies is marking a special milestone at this year’s Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary as title sponsors of the race, which also features Beyon as a support partner.
