Istanbul, a win for Button and Media Members

Journalists, photographers and members of Bahrain International Circuit Media Club stepped up to the podium on Sunday at Motorox Café, as Jenson Button took yet another victory with an unbelievable drive at the Formula One Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul.

As the Brawn GP victory signalled Button’s sixth win out of seven races, PR Executive at Bahrain International Circuit, Jamal Al Sayed, thanked the members of the media for joining in watching the gripping seventh round of the 2009 F1 World Championship.

He added that the superb attendance to the screening was a clear indicator of the growing motorsport culture in the region. Al Sayed later presented prizes to the winners of a raffle held for all those in attendance.

Sanjaya Sadakalum Jayarathne took home the grand prize of a return ticket to Dubai with national carriers Gulf Air.

Among other winners who came away with valuable BIC gifts were Jassim Mohammed, Hamed Al Mahari, Mohammed Faker Aldeen and Ali Falah.

The next official F1 screening will be held on the 21st of June, as the eighth round of the season takes place at the Santander British Grand Prix.
