Timbaland thrills Formula 1™ spectators

International super producer and rapper Timbaland brought the 2010 Formula 1™ Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix celebrations to a close with a thrilling concert performance which saw thousands of fans attend. The concert occurred following the end of Race Number One, where Fernando Alonso of Scuderia Ferrari blistered to victory after an intense 49 laps at the inaugural race of the FIA Formula 1™ World Championship’s 60th anniversary season.
 
Timbaland was one of four renowned artists to take to the stage during the 2010 Formula 1™ Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. Hussain Al Jasmi, Sean Kingston and Flo Rida all performed throughout the weekend, giving fans the opportunity to enjoy three separate concerts featuring a variety of music genres.
 
The American rapper has won a long list of awards due to his significant contribution to the music industry since his first collaboration album, titled ‘Welcome To Our World’ and released in 1997. Between 2000 and 2008 Timbaland received 14 nominations for various Grammy Awards, winning the 2007 and 2008 Best Dance Recording category with the songs ‘Sexy Back’ and ‘I Think She Knows.’ Throughout his career he has received over 30 nominations and won 11 categories, making him one of the most distinguished RnB artists in recent years.
 
Timbaland has established himself as both a successful hip-hop producer as well as a performer, having worked with some of the industries best artists. In 2009 Timbaland worked with Katy Perry, British X Factor winner Leona Lewis and Nelly Furtado on several of their projects and also released his highly successful album ‘Shock Value 2.’ The album features a collection of some of the industry’s most established artists such as Justin Timberlake, The Fray, Chad Kroeger and many more.
