Bahrain all geared up to host karting’s best in Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2025 at BIKC

Bahrain all geared up to host karting’s best in Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2025 at BIKC

One of the biggest annual karting events in the world returns to Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) this weekend for a full week of top-class, action-packed grassroots motorsport.

The Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF) 2025 will bring to the Kingdom 400 of international racing’s best karters, representing 60 nations worldwide, battling it out in eight high-octane categories.

Following pre-event formalities from Friday to Sunday (28 to 30 November), the on-track programme will take place from 1 to 6 December at BIC’s world-renowned karting facility, Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC).

All are welcome to attend and enjoy the high-intensity, wheel-to-wheel racing. Entrance is free of charge and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Racing on all days will begin under daylight conditions and wrap up at night under lights.

Drivers will be competing in six classic categories, including Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, DD2, and DD2 Masters; and two electric classes, namely E20 Senior and E20 Masters.

It will be the third time in five years that Rotax karting’s most prestigious meeting will be held in Sakhir, following the success of the previous events in 2023 and 2021.

The thrilling battles will be held along BIKC’s 1.414-kilometre CIK-FIA track, which has also hosted world championship events in the past featuring drivers such as Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, George Russell, and many more who are amongst the biggest stars in Formula 1 today.

The multi-day karting spectacle features participants who earned the right to race in the RMCGF after being crowned champions of their Rotax MAX national championships in their respective countries. Team Bahrain also has a number of drivers, and they will be looking to fly the Kingdom’s flag high on their home track.

BIKC was designed to the highest international standards and is capable of hosting world championship races under the CIK-FIA.

The facility made motorsport history in 2012 when it became the first karting venue ever to host a world championship-level event at night, thanks to the circuit’s high-specification floodlight system.
