BIC crowns 2025/2026 national champions

18 May 2026 – Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, hosted the official End-of-Season Awards Ceremony, honouring the champions of the local championships in the just-completed 2025/2026 campaign.

Title winners and others who excelled in the Bahrain Drag Racing Championship, the Bahrain Touring Car Challenge (BTCC), the Bahrain Motorcycle Championship (BMC), and the Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge (BRMC) were celebrated.

The evening’s programme was held at BIC’s world-class Media Centre, with the competing racers, officials, and guests in attendance.

BIC Chief Commercial Officer Sherif Al Mahdy gave an opening address. He congratulated those who secured their respective titles and praised all who contributed to the incredible success of yet another national racing season, including the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF), the Motorsport Marshals Club (MMC), the Bahrain Drag Racing Commission (BDRC), the Circuit Racing Commission (CRC), the Bahrain Motorcycle Commission (BMC), the Bahrain Karting Commission (BKC), and BIC’s history-making grassroots motorsport facility, Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC).

Al Mahdy was then joined by other officials in presenting the awards in each series.

In the Bahrain Drag Racing Championship – the region’s premier competition held along BIC’s National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)-sanctioned quarter-mile strip – 14 accolades were handed out, among which were prestigious ‘Wally’ trophies, given exclusively to winners of NHRA events worldwide.

Champions amongst the cars classes were Ali Yousif Rabia in the Index 10.0, Mohammed Jawad Al Brahim in the Index 9.0, Ahmad Mostafa Zaman in the Index 8.5, Yusuf Adel Al Khamiri in the Index 4.8, Mahmood Mohamed Saleh in the Outlaw 4-Cylinder, Yusuf Sami Al Zayyani in the Outlaw 6-Cylinder, Mohammed Nabeel Al Faras in the Competition 4.5, and Faisal Bin Suwaid Al Shehhi in the Pro Street 29.5.

Title winners amongst the motorbikes categories were Ali Bahram Ali in the Index 8.5, Khalid Ali Al Dossary in the Street Fight 9.5, Yusuf Ahmed Mansoor in the Pro Street, and Jihad Mohammed Aljamal in the Outlaw.

Awards for Rookie of the Year were also presented. Al Shehhi was the Rookie of the Year amongst the cars competitors while Abdulla Almozayen was the Rookie of the Year in the motorbikes classes.

In the BTCC, Ali Almansoori took home the champion’s trophy after his sensational campaign where he won all 14 races. James Taylor was honoured as the season’s runner-up, while Ahmed Bajnaid came third. Almansoori also took home a pair of awards for Season’s Fastest Lap and Most Pole Positions.

In the BMC, the top three in both the 1,000cc and 600cc classes were celebrated. Saeed Al Sulaiti emerged as the 1,000cc champion after finishing ahead of runner-up Fahad Al Gharabally and third-placer Hassan Al Awadhi. In the 600cc, Mohamad Al Zaidan was the champion, while Abdulrahman Ahmed came second and Faisal Al Jelaibi third.

Karting was another major part of BIC’s 2025/2026 calendar and the winners from the BRMC – the Kingdom’s premier karting championship featuring competitors going wheel-to-wheel in their very own Rotax-powered machinery – took home their trophies.

The victors were awarded in the series’ five categories, including the Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, and MAX DD2.

Enzo Younes emerged as the Micro MAX champion while completing the top three were Sami Albandak and Rashid Almahroos. In the Mini MAX class, Rayyan Najjar was the title winner, with Faisal Alnajjar as the runner-up and Rhys Daulat taking third. Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqer Al Khalifa added another championship trophy to his cabinet by taking first place amongst the Junior MAX karters. Jude Andrews finished second and Leopold Juch was third.

Demir Abali bagged the Senior MAX crown after tough battles against runner-up Luca Houghton and third-placer Rashid Hilal. Rakan Alfayez completed the BRMC’s list of champions by taking the MAX DD2 honours ahead of Abdulqader Qasem and Mohammed Almahroos.

Amongst the BRMC’s entrants, Victorious Motorsports were champions in the Micro MAX, Junior MAX, and MAX DD2 classes, while Praga Middle East Racing took the spoils in the Mini MAX and Senior MAX categories.

At the conclusion of the evening’s programme, the winners posed for photographs with officials.

The 2025/2026 national racing season was organised by BIC in cooperation with the BMF, MMC, BDRC, CRC, BMC, BKC, and BIKC.
