BIC holds coordination meeting in preparation for F1 double-header in Bahrain

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) continued to ramp up its preparations for the Kingdom’s highly anticipated Formula 1 double-header, holding a coordination meeting with the various Ministries and Government agencies involved in hosting both the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and the Rolex Sakhir Grand Prix.

The meeting was held online, in keeping with current precautionary measures.

BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa presided over the discussions, in which top management from BIC’s different departments and representatives from the public institutions participated.

Also during the meeting, BIC Governmental Affairs, Security and Safety Senior Manager Beshara Abdu Beshara presented a plan detailing all important issues regarding the organisation of the race, particularly the health and safety requirements that are being put in place amidst the current health situation.

Less than a month remains before two of the Kingdom’s biggest sporting events, and all arrangements are being finalised to ensure their smooth delivery along with protecting the well-being of all those involved.

BIC is hosting a Formula 1 double-header for the first time. The Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix takes place November 27 to 29, followed the very next weekend by the Rolex Sakhir Grand Prix from December 4 to 6.
